“The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself.”~Anna Quindlen
The start of the New Year is a perfect time to set your goals. To properly determine your goals, you need to understand who you are and your core values.
A critical exercise that I work with my coaching clients is to determine your core values.
Here are a couple of essential questions you may want to ask yourself to help identify your core values.
- Who are you? and what do you stand for?
- How do you want people to feel after every interaction they have with you?
- Identify your happiest moments: (what were you doing? Who were you with? How were you contributing?)
- Identify your most fulfilled and satisfied moments: (what were you doing? Who were you with? How were you contributing?)
- What inspires you?
